Bank Street College of Education has been an internationally-recognized leader in progressive education for people of all ages and in all learning environments: to adults such as teachers, administrators, and principals; to children in the classroom; and to the community at large, through educational institutions and community-based organizations. This innovative professional development program combines a progressive educational philosophy with innovative, child-centered educational practice designed to improve the quality of classroom instruction for all learners. “A teacher who learns is a teacher who can teach.” This belief statement, attributed to Lucy Sprague Mitchell, Bank Street’s founder, is especially relevant for educators in a global community. www.bankstreet.edu |
